*For Australia, a simple customer-friendly size guide would be:
-
Under 8–Under 9: Size 3 futsal ball
-
Under 10–Under 12: This can vary by competition, with some using Size 3 & others moving to Size 4
-
Under 13 and older / Adults: Size 4 futsal ball
-
Size 5: Not used for futsal — Size 4 is the standard adult futsal ball.
One important thing: a Size 4 futsal ball is not the same as a normal Size 4 football. A futsal ball is designed to have reduced bounce, helping with close control and the quick passing style of futsal.
